It was a gloomy Saturday, but the news alerts didn’t seem to be running as frantically today. (Or maybe I just avoided more today.). We managed to get through day 2 of a pandemic city shutdown with typical excitement.

It’s Pi Day. Since we aren’t great bakers, we colored pictures of pies and then celebrated National Children’s Crafting Day instead….which means we crafted for 45 minutes and cleaned up for two hours.

4 Year Old’s Daily Insight:

“Pretending to eat pie all day is almost just like eating pie, but not as messy.”

Sassy friends got along all day, until one used salon shampoo in the shower and the other didn’t want all of the grapes in one bowl.

We are starting new habits of creating our own distance within the square feet of our main floor and reading quietly. Wish us luck.

Full disclosure: Everyday life is pretty sassy and sarcastic. Not many moments pass without a thumbs down, stomping feet, and hilarious phrases. My sharing isn’t meant to be ignorance towards what is really happening in the world. Instead, it seems as though nothing is on my to do list at the moment (which is rare), except for staying healthy, connecting at home, and just being real. Going stir crazy is fairly likely, but daily shenanigans will at least keep it entertaining.
