Anyone got a manual for this?

This sums up our first week of digital learning + 24 days of social distancing.

The range of emotions has gone full circle in twenty four days.

  • blessed and thankful to have our health
  • completely panicked and stressed
  • hopeful
  • afraid and nervous
  • missing family…..

And this week, as this seems to settle in as our norm, we cried. The whole gaggle of us cried. From a distance, we saw one of our favorites walking and couldn’t go play. We stopped in the middle of a “home” school lesson about area and perimeter and had full blown tears. We cried about cars all over the floor. And we cried about paint spilled on the carpet.

Around mid-week, social distancing orders included the use of a mask – and most neighboring school districts called the year and remaining digital until June.

So, did you find that manual yet?

Me either. Instead, I’ll settle for hope and grace.

Here’s to….

Forgiving the mess on the floor.
Holding on tight (even if it is at distance).
Educating on whole new levels.
Embracing the sass.
Laughing and loving.
Waking up with a clear heart.
