This has not been a typical Monday. I entered a building that I spend a lot of time in and repeated, “see you soon” to families and professionals for nearly four hours. I walked out to an empty parking lot with an unsettling feeling about what’s to come. The new normal is rampant news alert, suddenly closures and changes, and an unknown window of time leading back to “what was.” Is the Oregon Trail of the new millennium?

Today’s silver lining: Cake. A big cake with purple frosting and sprinkles.
